Since 2021, the EU-funded DigiWave Phase 1 project has been driving digital innovation in inland navigation.
Together with various partners, De Vlaamse Waterweg has worked on multiple initiatives to prepare the sector for the future.
These initiatives are divided into five work packages:
· WP1: Project Management
· WP2: Smart Logistics
· WP3: Smart Administration
· WP4: Smart Shipping
· WP5: Infostructure
Each of these work packages contributes to the overall objective:
“Optimizing traffic and transport management to fully integrate automated inland navigation into the synchromodal transport chain, through intensive collaboration and agreements with stakeholders worldwide, and by developing a resilient and reliable infostructure.”
At the end of 2025, we will conclude Phase 1. To mark this important milestone, we warmly invite you to the Final Event in Brussels:
